I've never considered myself very creative. At least not in the traditional way. Something funny happens when you have a little time on your hands--you find yourself needing an outlet for all those little projects you've always wanted to try, but never had the time to tackle before. Oh, and there's that pesky little website called Pinterest. You know the one. The one that makes you feel bad about yourself for being a slug. You spend hours and hours looking at all those cool ideas posted by a mixture of crafters, web junkies and lunatics. Tons of ideas just sitting there. Sorta like I do after a night of vodka tonics and fast-food drive thrus.
I'm going to attempt some stuff, throw it up here and see how it goes.
Now... meet the cast of characters:
That's me. And my handsome husband. I'll never be that put together--or that thin ever again. Glad I got the photos to remember it, because I have since returned to my regularly scheduled life of enjoying beef and cheese.
And there's my super dog, Max. Every day is an adventure with him. Love him to pieces, but we have sort of an antagonistic relationship. He reserves the right to use my lawn as a toilet. I reserve the right to throw snowballs at him while he does so. (Save the angry emails, he loves it.)
He really lets loose on St. Patty's Day.
